The project is part of the “Rehabilitation and expansion of the water supply and sewerage system in Vidin” project.
The waste water treatment plant (WWTP) – Vidin is sized for 56 thousand equivalent inhabitants in the horizon until 2041. Through it, the entire amount of waste water from the city is cleaned before it is discharged into the river Dynav.
The station processes wastewater with an average daily flow rate of 1,440 m3 per day.
A technology has been applied which, in addition to mechanical cleaning of water, also subjects it to biological purification.
The station is equipped with the most modern systems for the heating of the protected tanks, and the separated gas is used in the KO-generator – Central installation for thermal and electric energy (CITEE) ), to generate electrical energy. The extracted heat energy is used for the heating needs of the station.
