– 1st intermediate stage (substantial completion): submission of the technical project for consideration of Expert Technical and Economic Council (ETIS) with all approvals – completed on March 20, 2018.
– IInd intermediate stage (substantial completion): technical design approval by ETIS with all approvals – completed on 20 March 2018.
Start of construction and assembly works. Term: 730 days.
The new 9.3 km of the “Hemus” highway is the result of the successful and early completion of the actual construction, which started after the two stages of preparation of the technical project and its acceptance. As an engineering implementation, the construction of the Yablanitsa – Boaza section is one of the most complex and difficult parts of the route of the entire “Hemus” highway due to the special morphology of the terrain and the specific geological conditions.
Since the beginning of October, the newly constructed section from the Yablanitsa road junction to the Boaza road junction has already been joined as part of the actual route of the “Hemus” motorway – officially opened and open for traffic.
