Construction and installation works to complete a site: Engineering for the restoration of a port facility at Cape Shabla – Marine flyover with an island platform
The port facility is a flyover with an island platform that extends up to 414 meters into the Black Sea. It is of particular importance for the delimitation of the maritime spaces between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Romania.
The facility was built in the 1970s. According to experts, it is one of the most complex objects built in water after the Danube Bridge. The lack of proper maintenance and repairs, as well as the impact of the aggressive marine environment, have caused critical violations of its structural elements.
The project includes construction of the structure of the facility from km 0.+353 to km 0.+415; construction of the pavement, pavements, electrical works, turnout facility, sailor’s ladders, installation of the railings and cleaning of the construction site from the construction activities after the completion of the site.
