The project includes the activities of building a landfill for the disposal of household waste and the associated technical infrastructure, and delivery of garbage collection equipment and containers for waste. It is financed under the Operational Program “Environment 2007-2013”.
The completed construction and assembly works include the construction of a farmyard, construction of cell 1 for non-hazardous waste, site infrastructure, a road leading to the site with a length of 1177.31 m, and a 20 KV power line with a length of 4,138 m.
The main role of the project is to ensure treatment, recycling/utilization of the waste generated on the territory of Malko Tarnovo municipality and its environmentally friendly disposal. With its completion, the legal commitments regarding environmental protection have been fulfilled, particularly in preventing environmental pollution from waste.
