The project is funded by the United States Armed Forces, under a Technical Agreement between the Road Infrastructure Agency, the Department of Defense and the US European Command.
The facility is not far from the “Novo Selo” training ground. With the execution of the construction works, the arch of the bridge was strengthened, new railings, a safety fence and a protective covering of the exposed concrete surfaces were installed. The pavement blocks have also been reconstructed in order for the bridge to be used for the passage of military equipment.
